Further Education Preparation

The Bible has a lot to say about being prepared. In fact, the Bible uses the word prepare/preparation 87 times. As we look ahead to life and ministry in the jungle, we want to be prepared. We are praying about taking some courses next year to better prepare us for life and ministry in the jungle. For Bob, these courses include Sanitation, Water Purification, and Solar Electricity. Becky is preparing to start a Masters degree in Biblical counseling. Additionally, she will take a course called Missionary Medical Intensive, which would help prepare for the lack of medical resources available in the jungle. We are thankful to have received approval of our mission board to take these courses and are praying for the finances to take them!

I AM THE LORD

HE IS FAITHFUL

Thus saith the LORD,
Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
Neither let the mighty man glory in his might,
Let not the rich man glory in his riches:
But let him that glorieth glory in this,
That he understandeth and knoweth me,
That I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness,
Judgment, and righteousness, in the earth:
For in these things I delight, saith the LORD.
                                          -Jeremiah 9:23-24
We are thrilled how the Lord has continually shown His love and kindness to us over these last few months.  We are happy to report that we are currently at 26.3% of the support we need to raise! Also, because of God's people, we have been able to keep our truck on the road, our fuel tank full, food in our bellies, and a roof over our heads.  If it all ended there, that would be more than enough. Just the opportunity to serve God gives us great cause to praise Him.

"LOOKING UNTO JESUS"

"… let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith..." Hebrews 12:1-2

Glory to God:

Our attitude today should be that we don't care who gets the credit as long as God gets the glory.
When our only desire is to glorify God, we are more than willing to step aside and let others use their gifts.
