 Winter 2015 Update!!!

"I have but one candle of life to burn,
and I would rather burn it out in a land filled with darkness
than in a land flooded with light."
-John Keith Falconer

December 2014 - December proved to be a very busy month, as we took a three-week trip into Cusco. We enjoyed spending Christmas in the jungle and even cooked our turkey dinner in a community oven! It was one of the best turkeys we've ever eaten! Bob preached the Christmas message in Pilcopata, Becky played the piano, and we both enjoyed helping in the special kid's program in the town of Patria. In the mountains, we spent much time with our friends and family in the ministries there. We enjoyed the "Hot Chocolate" Fellowship for Christmas, as well as the New Year's Potluck in Arín!
January 2015 - The second trip this winter was to help with a Medical Campaign. This was a partnership of several churches from Lima, as well as one church from Ohio. Overall, we had over 100 volunteers to help in various facets throughout the week. There were doctors and nurses providing services like podiatry, dentistry, and general medicine. A construction team that did repairs and upgrades on a church and pastor's home. There were kid's programs, as well as an archery ministry that taught skills of archery while teaching about Jesus! During this trip, Bob was involved in logistics and translation and Becky helped in translating for two doctors and other needs. We both learned a lot and our Spanish skills were stretched. We are blessed to be able to share that over 160 people came to know Christ as a result of that ministry, and as our faithful supporters, you had a part of that!
February 2015 - Our last trip from Lima was to our BMM Missionary Retreat and General Council meetings. We enjoyed the fellowship and our BMM colleagues and the uplifting messages from a fellow missionary from Argentina. We came home tired and full of bug bites but very blessed!
